Fun story and characters

I enjoyed this even more than I expected. The relationship and attraction between Amy and Morgan was nicely told and I hated to see it end. Wonderful setting and nice balance between humor and the darker side. I hope Ms. Essex writes more stories about Wolf Town!!

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is lighthearted and entertaining while at the same time illuminating the finding of a balance between loyalty to ones own self, and the finding of acceptance from others. It takes the idea of differences and being "other", and in them finds a bravery and a sense of truth, while creating a community that reminds us that despite differences, we are essentially - at the heart - more alike than different, especially together. That said, it is a fun read. The secondary characters are interesting and often amusing, and the protagonist finds new wings without abandoning her roots, and makes you want to cheer for her on every page.

This was a really fun, delightful tale. It was filled with so much imagination and it felt fresh, like nothing I'd read before. From the first sentence I was hooked. I got the feeling that the author wrote it with a smile on her face, it just had so much spirit and goodness in it. This author definitely has talent. I'll be sure to check out her other books. I most definitely recommend reading this one.
P.S. The book cover seems to me to convey a much more serious tone than what is actually present in the content of the book. From the picture, it looks like this will be more serious and dark when actually it's really fun, light-hearted and magical.
